2nd Annual Canada International Film and Television Festival Rules and Regulations 

 

Registrations open on January 24th, 2015.

Deadline: October 18th, 2015.

Opening: November 6th, 2015

Closing Ceremony:November 8th, 2015

 

The following conditions apply to all award entires and screening activities in the Canada International Film and Television Festival:

  1. Films must be released after January 1, 2013.
  2. Videos must be converted to 35mm print or Digital Cinema Package (DCP) formats.
  3. Time Constraints: Feature Films must be between 70 to 150 minutes. Short Films must be between 15 to 40 minutes.
  4. All films must be presented in their original language, with English subtitles.

 

Award entry forms are available for download on our website. Both individual and group entires are accepted.

 

Copyright and Legal Notices:
  1. All entries must not contain any pornography, violence, or racism content.
  2. All entries must be original works from the entrant, and have the consent of the original author. Participants should confirm the copyright of their works, and assume any liabilities that may arise. The organizing committee will not accept any liability arising from disputes, such as, portrait, reputation, privacy, copyright, trademark, etc. Canada International Film and Television Festival reserves the rights to cancel the eligibility of participants, and to recover the award granted.
  3. Canada International Film and Television Festival has the right to release entries for non-commercial broadcasting purposes at participating universities, public places, malls, cafes, cinemas, TV channels, the Internet, and other screenings. Participants must actively cooperate with the organizing committee to provide high-resolution audio-visual works.
  4. Participants are required to authorize the organizing committee with the ability to edit their entries. The organizing committee will not clip over 15% or 3 minutes of the total length of the entry. These video clips may be used in cinemas, TV channels, the Internet, public places, screenings, and interviews.
  5. Participants are required to pay the entry fee. It is recommended that you retained a backup copy of your entry. Canada International Film and Television Festival does not assume loss or damage liabilities.
  6. The final list of winners will be announced by the Canada International Film and Television Festival.
  7. Submitted entries will be deemed to agree to all the relevant legal issues above.
  8. All rights of final decisions are reserved by the Canada International Film and Television Festival.
  9. Canada International Film and Television Festival is entitled to refuse any entries which violate the laws or regulations of its country.

 

Materials Required:
  1. Awards Entry Form (word document and copy).
  2. Recent photos of the participants and staff (JPG format, 1024*768 or larger).
  3. Works and Trailers (5 still shots, and a letter regarding the copyright consent of photos must be provided to the organizing committee).

 

Additional Materials (based on availability):
  1. Please submit a outline class script and shooting script for all drama, experimental films, and animated video productions.
  2. 1 to 2 electronic posters (JPG format, 1024*768 or larger).
